Our Pet Care Professionals work independently in clients’ homes throughout Wilmington and surrounding communities. This position requires far more than simply loving animals. Our team members are trusted with pets’ safety, detailed care routines, medications, private homes, keys, and consistent communication with clients and company leadership.

Attentive to animal body language and changes in behavior or health
Able to follow detailed written instructions
Professional and respectful inside clients’ homes
Strong communicators who report concerns promptly and honestly
Patient with shy, anxious, senior, special-needs, or high-energy pets
Detail-oriented and capable of writing clear visit reports
Comfortable receiving feedback and continuing their education
Available during high-demand periods, including weekends and holidays
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Experience & Eligibility
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have at least one year of professional animal-care experience
- Be willing to complete a background check
- Complete all required company training, policies, and certifications
Transportation & Technology
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a reliable personal vehicle
- Maintain current automobile insurance
- Have a reliable smartphone with dependable service
- Be able to travel throughout our service area
Physical Requirements
- Be comfortable working in different homes and environments
- Be able to safely handle dogs of different breeds and sizes
- Be capable of handling dogs that pull on leash
- Be able to walk, bend, climb stairs, and lift a moderate amount of weight
- Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule & Availability
- Have availability for some early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight assignments
Because this is in-home pet care, schedules vary according to client demand. Assignments may include dog walks, drop-in visits, cat and small-animal care, overnight stays, extended care, pet transportation, and specialized services.
